About Me

If you hadn’t already picked up on it, my name is Courtney and I’m a writer, editor, creator, lover of the Oxford Comma, Potterhead, Tamora Pierce fangirl…

My first memories (yes, we are doing a flashback) are of sitting at my grandmother’s dining room table, loose sheets of lined paper surrounding me, covered in a steadily regressing scrawl, a number 2 pencil clutched in my hand. I would often get sheafs of college-lined paper and pencils for Christmas, and I was always so very happy to receive them.

If I wasn’t writing, I was reading. Many times finishing an entire series in a day as I bounced from kitchen chair to couch to recliner and back again. Back then, I’d always ditch TV for a good book series (this was, however, before Netflix…).

Some things have changed, of course (typing for writing, my literary tastes expanded and evolved, a BFA in creative writing and minor in journalism added to my resume), but not my love of the written word.

But enough about me. Sure this website has my name on it, but I started all this to share my favorite things with you. So please, check out the bookish blog to read up on my new favorite (and least favorite) books. And feel free to reach out if you want to be friends (or if you just want someone to talk about commas and Harry Potter with). If you like what you see, don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter for updates straight to your inbox, and check me out on other social media for more great stuff (at least, I think it’s great).
